Unfortunately, the benefits of the Clean Trucks Bill would be greatly minimized if voters approve ballot measures that will restrict or ban hydraulic fracturing, the main process used to access natural gas thousands of feet underground. Community, business, and political leaders are now trying to educate voters about the safety of hydraulic fracturing and the economic and environmental benefits of natural gas development. It is an uphill battle, however, in the face of well-funded anti-energy activists who using fear and misinformation to advance their agenda.
